Our team employed strategic interior re-planning of Bridge House’s two floors to incorporate walk-in freezers, dry storage, and modern catering prep facilities, as well as staff accommodations. Key to this project was establishing a new Central Production Unit (CPU), essential for enhancing meal preparation efficiency for the hospital.
The renovation included installing partitions, ceilings, and a comprehensive mechanical and electrical (M&E) setup, ensuring the facility met the high standards required for healthcare catering services.
The relocation to Bridge House has significantly benefited UHP NHS by reducing on-site space constraints and centralising catering services. This strategic move has allowed the hospital to optimise the use of its on-site facilities for direct patient care and other critical services.
This project has also bolstered the local economy, leveraging local suppliers and trades, and fostering job growth during construction. By refurbishing an existing building, we’ve upheld our commitment to sustainable development and community enhancement.
