This week marked the start of works at Polurrian on the Lizard, celebrated on site with a ground-breaking event to recognise the beginning of a significant extension and improvement programme.

Set within one of Cornwall’s most striking coastal locations, the project represents an exciting opportunity to enhance a well-established hotel while delivering new facilities that will strengthen its long-term future. The works will introduce additional accommodation alongside upgraded leisure and wellbeing spaces, all designed to complement the hotel’s dramatic clifftop setting.

Reaching this milestone follows a substantial period of preparation, including detailed planning, design development, and close collaboration across the project team. This next phase focuses on improving the guest experience, upgrading facilities, and ensuring the development supports the site’s long-term sustainability.

The project will also generate employment opportunities and support the regional supply chain throughout the construction period.
