There was plenty to celebrate at this year’s Constructing Excellence South West (CESW) Awards, with recognition for two Nevada Construction projects and the client relationships that help make our work possible.
Held on Thursday 16 July, the awards saw the Dartmoor Building win Delivering Value and Tinside Lido receive the Regeneration & Conservation award. We were also delighted to celebrate alongside University Hospitals Plymouth and Teresa Gunn, who were named Client of the Year.
Each award tells a different story, but all three share something we value deeply: people working together to make a lasting difference.
🏆 Delivering Value
🏆 Regeneration & Conservation
🏆 Client of the Year
For the Dartmoor Building, the judges recognised the value delivered both to the client and the wider community. They praised the team’s collaboration and problem-solving, which enabled delivery within an incredibly tight timescale while achieving benefits across budget, programme and quality.
That value extended beyond the building itself. Support for the local supply chain, regional employment, training opportunities and engagement with young people all contributed to an award that recognises what a project gives back to its community.

Our work with Plymouth City Council at Tinside Lido was recognised for bringing sensitive conservation and regeneration together. The judges highlighted the care taken to preserve its historical integrity, alongside planning for future maintenance in a challenging environment. They also recognised the project’s contribution to local regeneration and the social value it has already delivered.

The Client of the Year award for University Hospitals Plymouth and Teresa Gunn made the evening even more special. The judges praised their approachable, confident leadership and the openness and trust built between client and contractor. We are proud to work with a client whose collaborative approach has been recognised in this way.
