Refurbishment of the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady in Torquay

Improvements to the parish facilities.

The first section of the works included the conversion of the existing St Vincent’s hall building into two modern apartments. This required two new wing extensions, and a full refurbishment of the existing structure. This included external landscaping and the installation of new incoming services, new floor structures, structural reinforcements and repointing to the existing masonry walls, new roof, replacement aluminium windows and doors, and a complete internal refurbishment.

Section two of the works was a complete refurbishment of the assumption centre building. This included the installation of a new commercial kitchen, alteration of existing layout, complete mechanical and electrical installation, oak flooring, new ceilings, full redecoration, replacement RWG’s, as well as an extension to create a new toilet block, and a new glazed link building with a zinc roof linked to the main church. This newly improved hall facilities, office and toilets will provide improvements for the parish and for hire.

The third and final section of the works was to repair and renew the main churches existing roof coverings and rain water goods, and to install new external downlighting.
