Demolition and construction of a new Watch Tower at East Cliff Walk in Teignmouth

Project Value: £74,000 +VAT

Client: National Coastwatch Institution

Project works involved the demolition of the old watchtower and remove all materials from site. Excavate concrete and construct new walls, install a new steel frame which involved control measures being put in place i.e. temporary edge protection.

Construct a new timber frame around steel frame including roof structure and covering. Installation of new windows and doors and all access steps and railings. All works were carried out with care given to the general public and neighbouring businesses who all remained open and operational whilst works were carried out and completed.
